Managing surface water at your property

A soakaway is designed to allow suitable surface water to disperse into the ground. Whether a new installation is appropriate depends on site drainage, ground conditions, available space and any applicable permissions.

Is a new soakaway suitable?

Ground conditions, property layout, the amount and source of water, and proximity to buildings affect what is possible. We would discuss the site and the work before proposing an installation.

Installation and groundworks

A new soakaway may require excavation, appropriate materials and connections to suitable drainage. Any necessary testing, permissions and design considerations must be established for the job.

Five-year guarantee

We offer a five-year guarantee on new soakaway installations. The work covered, conditions and exclusions should be confirmed in writing as part of the agreed quotation.

Questions about soakaway installations

Can every property have a soakaway?

No. Soil conditions, water volumes, access, available space and site restrictions all influence suitability. The property needs to be assessed before an installation can be recommended.

Do you guarantee new soakaways?

Yes. We offer a five-year guarantee on new installations. Ask us for the scope and written terms before agreeing to the work.
